Process Engineer

Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 1 year and possible Permanent Position Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, and 401K Supporting: Grassroots Project Process Engineer to support the design, optimization, and operation of oil and gas processing facilities. Key Responsibilities- Monitor and optimize production and processing operations to maximize efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Perform process simulations, heat and material balances, and equipment performance evaluations.
- Develop and maintain process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and engineering calculations.
- Troubleshoot process upsets and identify root causes of operational issues.
- Support facility startups, shutdowns, debottlenecking, and commissioning activities.
- Conduct process safety reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on capital projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports, operating procedures, and engineering documentation.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to improve plant performance and reduce operating costs.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3-20 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, or gas processing operations.
- Experience with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Plus.
