Manufacturing Technician Summary The Manufacturing Technician III is responsible for executing complex fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes across multiple disciplines including metal, wood, CNC machining, lamination, and exhibit builds. This role ensures projects are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards while collaborating cross-functionally and leading small teams when required. - Review project drawings, specifications, and service orders to gain a full understanding prior to assembly
- Identify potential build challenges and resolve issues before production begins
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and readiness
- Ensure all materials, measurements, and components are clearly understood and accounted for
- Assemble builds accurately according to specifications, timelines, and budget requirements
- Ensure final products meet quality standards with no rework or defects
- Maintain efficiency and productivity to meet project schedules
- Monitor build progress and communicate issues that impact delivery
- Safely disassemble builds and prepare components for transport or storage
- Ensure all materials are accounted for and protected from damage
- Create detailed packing lists including freight dimensions when required
- Prevent damage during handling, packaging, and shipping processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
- Ensure all tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and maintained
- Perform regular housekeeping between projects
- Read blueprints and specifications to perform lamination tasks with precision
- Use appropriate tools and materials to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality
- Complete lamination work efficiently while meeting production deadlines
- Cut, weld, and fabricate metal components using fabrication drawings and build sheets
- Identify potential issues and adjust processes to maintain quality and efficiency
- Produce high-quality fabricated structures and components on schedule
- Create jigs and templates to improve repeatability and accuracy
- Inspect and verify finished products before release
- Operate CNC machinery to produce finished parts from raw materials
- Edit and revise CNC files as needed to meet required outputs
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC equipment
- Interpret NEST reports and manage job setup, material loading, and execution
- Ensure accuracy, quality of cuts, and proper file management
- Cut, build, and fabricate wood structures based on drawings and specifications
- Verify measurements and materials before production to avoid errors
- Produce high-quality finished wood products with no defects or rework
- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques for fabrication efficiency
- Assemble and disassemble portable modular builds and standard exhibit systems
- Support assembly of large-scale custom builds, including double-deck and structural systems
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and industry standards
- Maintain quality and accuracy across all installation types
- Apply vinyl, graphics, banners, and signage materials
- Measure, cut, and tailor materials for proper installation
- Ensure accurate placement and high-quality finish of all graphics elements
- Scan and track returned materials using inventory systems
- Complete accurate return inspections and documentation
- Ensure materials are stored in correct locations after processing
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or missing items promptly
- Conduct detailed inspections on returned or completed items
- Document damages, variances, and quality issues
- Ensure timely reporting and resolution of discrepancies
- Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Hands-on experience with fabrication tools, machinery, and assembly processes
- Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy
- CNC, fabrication, and/or woodworking experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with computer systems for tracking and reporting
- Manufacturing / production environment
- Frequent standing, lifting, and use of tools and machinery
