Toolmaker Supervisor

This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - Denver - Plant Engineering Division. As a Toolmaker Supervisor, you will be administratively and technically responsible for the supervision of work operations performed by the following: Toolmaker Work Leader, Toolmakers, Machinists, and Apprentices.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service .

You must meet the screen-out element Ability To Lead Or Supervise , normally addressed at the beginning of the online questions. To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have direct experience in a supervisory or lead position leading many personnel and performing administrative duties such as; organizing, assigning and directing work assignments, purchasing raw materials and cutting tools, adjusting schedules to changing priorities to meet objectives, evaluating work performance, and working with budgets . In addition, you must also obtain an average score of two (2) for the following elements for this position as addressed through the online question in order to be considered minimally qualified. Your application will be evaluated in the following areas: Ability To Lead Or Supervise(screen-out) , Operation of Machine Tools, Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic), Ability To Use Shop Drawings, Ability To Use Hand Tools for Machine Shop, and Knowledge of Metals.
