We are hiring a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Teamcenter MBOM & Digital Manufacturing in Auburn Hills, Michigan, supporting complex vehicle manufacturing and digital engineering initiatives. This role requires expertise in Teamcenter PLM, Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) development, Manufacturing Process Planning (MPP), MRP planning, Digital Twin technologies, and full product lifecycle manufacturing support from concept through production launch.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop, and control manufacturing processes, operation sequences, workflows, and methodologies for complex assemblies and vehicle systems.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOMs) and detailed digital work instructions within Teamcenter PLM.
  • Implement and manage MBOM structures within ERP systems to support production planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to improve MBOM accuracy, manufacturing processes, and work instructions as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze and support MRP planning activities related to MBOM structure, material requirements, and manufacturing execution.
  • Evaluate engineering releases and design changes to assess impacts on manufacturing processes and MBOM configurations.
  • Partner with Design Engineering to improve product manufacturability and production efficiency.
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering organizations and manufacturing facilities.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, process procedures, qualifications, and related technical records.
  • Support cross-functional projects involving production, quality, engineering, and leadership teams.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support for onsite and offsite production activities.
  • Review and interrogate CAD models and engineering drawings to support manufacturing planning and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a digital manufacturing environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOMs) for production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter PLM, including Manufacturing Process Planning (MPP), MBOM development, and digital work instruction creation.
  • Experience implementing manufacturing data and MBOM structures within ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of MRP planning processes and material management concepts.
  • Experience supporting Digital Manufacturing strategies and Digital Twin technologies.
  • Understanding of engineering release processes, configuration management, and engineering change implementation.
  • Experience supporting full product development lifecycles from concept through start of production.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering principles, production methodologies, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Previous manufacturing plant or production environment experience.
  • Ability to review and analyze mechanical and electrical CAD models and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Windows-based computer systems.
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and operations environments.
  • Ability to travel and support onsite and offsite production activities as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting military vehicle systems engineering programs.
  • Experience with complex subsystem design and manufacturing integration.
  • Advanced expertise developing and maintaining production MBOM structures.
  • Experience supporting vehicle manufacturing, defense, automotive, or heavy industrial production programs.
