We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Team Lead to join our plant operations team at an hourly rate of $42.00/hr. In this role, you will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing the maintenance department during your shift, ensuring that all equipment is running efficiently, work orders are completed on time, and safety protocols are strictly followed.

Shift: Swing Shift

Hours: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Days: Typically Monday-Friday, but must have the flexibility to rotate weekends and work required overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision: Direct and lead maintenance technicians on your shift. Schedule personnel to meet production needs , assign priority-based work assignments, and follow up on execution and completion.

Work Order Management: Generate work orders and task lists based on plant surveys and preventative maintenance (PM) scheduling. Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner.

Technical Support: Utilize basic mechanical skills (with hand and power tools) and electrical troubleshooting skills to assist the team and ensure equipment is repaired safely and quickly. ...

Safety & Training: Monitor and train the maintenance crew in proper safety procedures. Evaluate individual crewmember skill levels and make recommendations for specific training needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the maintenance team and other plant departments?including sanitation, production, and quality assurance?to support overall operations.

Quality Compliance: Take responsibility for maintaining food safety, food defense, and food quality protocols across all maintenance activities

Working hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other plant department personnel.

Physical capability to lift between 30 to 50 lbs. regularly in a plant environment.

4-7 years

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or GED.

3 to 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment is required.

Proven supervisory abilities or leadership experience.
