Production Worker

Job Description

This role assembles, packages, and labels products while operating a variety of hand and power tools to produce high-quality finished goods. You work on a production line, follow assembly drawings and instructions, and help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.

Responsibilities

Assemble, package, and label products according to specifications and production requirements.

Operate equipment and hand tools such as impact wrenches, drills, mallets, screwdrivers, pneumatic rivet guns, and other power tools as required.

Maintain a consistent and acceptable level of productivity under supervision while meeting production targets.

Produce quality finished goods with acceptable workmanship and minimal quality issues.

Maintain assembly jigs, hand tools, and equipment in good working order and report any issues promptly.

Apply basic product knowledge, including identifying which wheels belong on specific products, understanding model numbers, and recognizing bearings, nuts, bolts, and other components.

Keep the work area clean and organized by returning tools and hardware to their proper locations, sweeping the floor, removing debris, and placing trash in appropriate receptacles.

Notify the Production Supervisor or appropriate personnel when tools need repair, inventory levels of frequently used items are low, or product quality concerns arise.

Accurately read and interpret assembly drawings, including dimensions, parts lists, assembly instructions, and critical-to-quality (CTQ) requirements.

Perform all tasks safely, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves in line with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) requirements.

Assemble products and operate equipment ergonomically correctly to support safe and efficient work practices.

Follow all production, quality, and safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production needs.

Essential Skills

Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred, with exposure to production environments.

Ability to use hand tools and power tools such as impact wrenches, drills, mallets, screwdrivers, and pneumatic rivet guns.

Ability to read a tape measure in both fractions and decimals accurately.

Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical assembly and general production tasks.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings, including dimensions and parts lists.

Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and critical-to-quality (CTQ) requirements.

Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and minimal defects.

Ability to work safely and follow Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) requirements, including use of safety glasses and gloves.

Capability to maintain an organized workspace and handle general labor tasks in a production setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a small manufacturing or production facility.

Familiarity with ergonomic work practices when operating equipment and assembling products.

Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled, loud environment.

Strong reliability and consistent attendance to support production schedules.

Willingness to perform a variety of duties and assist where needed across the production area.

Work Environment

This position is on a first-shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The site is small, with approximately 20 employees, offering a close-knit team environment. The facility is non-climate-controlled and can be loud, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures and around industrial noise. You will regularly use hand tools, power tools, assembly jigs, and production equipment, and you are expected to follow all safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.47 - $18.47/hr.
