DESCRIPTION

Join our collaborative team as a Purchasing Manager and make a meaningful impact on global healthcare, scientific research, and environmental protection. You'll guide strategic procurement and global supply chain initiatives while developing and supporting a skilled team responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply of critical materials. Working closely with internal partners and suppliers, you'll optimize inventory levels, achieve cost savings, play an integral part in new product introductions and implement effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic decisions while maintaining the balance between product availability and inventory optimization.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in procurement/sourcing/supply chain in global distribution or manufacturing environment

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

  • APICS, CPSM or equivalent professional certification preferred

  • 3-5 years of people management experience leading procurement teams

  • Proven expertise in ERP systems (E1 preferred) and MRP processes

  • Demonstrated success in delivering cost savings and process improvements

  • Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making

  • Experience with inventory optimization techniques (JIT, consignment, global distribution)

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in life sciences/pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • Effective in cross-functional collaboration and matrix leadership

  • Strong project management and change management capabilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and procurement analytics tools

  • Clear communication and presentation skills

  • Commitment to continuous improvement methodologies

  • Ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities: integrity, accountability, and focus on results
