The Material Handler Forklift Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, and pulling finished goods and raw materials to support daily operations. This role ensures efficient warehouse flow by maintaining organization, cleanliness, and safe handling of materials. On a typical day, this position involves unloading incoming shipments, staging materials in designated locations, preparing outbound orders based on daily schedules, labeling and identifying pallets according to customer specifications, and loading trucks safely and efficiently.

  • Receive finished goods and maintain organized warehouse storage.
  • Receive raw materials and stage them in designated warehouse areas.
  • Receive work-in-process materials from external locations and stage appropriately.
  • Pull finished goods according to daily schedules and customer requirements.
  • Label and identify pallets in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and label orders for shipment to external warehouse locations.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks following safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Complete required training and maintain equipment certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
What you need to succeed
  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).
  • Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience.
  • Valid forklift license/certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and operational documents.
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to operate office equipment such as fax and copy machines.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Demands

This role requires standing, mobility, and frequent use of hands and equipment throughout an 8-hour shift. Employees regularly perform bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds and operating material handling equipment in a warehouse environment.

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment includes elevated noise levels due to machinery, forklifts, and air compressors.
