Material Planner - Vac / Special Bay

Job Summary:

The Material Planner-Combo/Excavator is responsible for facilitating the flow of parts into the Combo and Excavator Departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyze usage to set up ROP/ROQ Points and Replenishment Methods on new parts
• Analyze history and usage to maintain correct ROP/ROQ Points and Replenishment Methods on current parts
• Scan buy cards into the kanban database for Combo and Excavator Departments
• Review card scans in database and approve or reject based on history and need
• Work with production floor in expediting needed parts
• Communicate with purchasing the need for parts expediting
• Breakdown of work order and ordering of work order specific parts
• Maintain work order packet for upcoming units for Combo and Excavator
• Participating in Kaizen events
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful
• Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite related software
• Proficient in Smartsheet, Power BI and other data software
• Strong communication skills are required to interact with internal customers
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines and follow through on order completion
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently

Education and Experience:

• Manufacturing Experience Preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift15 pounds at times
• Must be able to walk up and down stairs several times a day

Commitments and Location:

• Permanent Full-Time Role Based in Dixon, IL
• Monday-Friday7:30 am - 4:00pm
