Position Overview
Argos Corporation is seeking motivated and mechanically inclined Extrusion Technicians / Machine Operators to support our commercial and medical manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining extrusion equipment while ensuring products meet quality standards and production goals.
The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment. Medical device manufacturing experience is highly preferred but not required.
Primary ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation & Setup
	Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust extrusion manufacturing equipment.
	
	
	Perform machine startups, changeovers, shutdowns, and cleanouts.
	
	
	Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
	
	
	Perform machine resets and ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
	
	
	Monitor production runs and make process adjustments as needed.
	
	
Quality Control
	Perform in-process quality inspections to ensure product compliance.
	
	
	Utilize precision measuring equipment including:
	
		Calipers
		
		
		Micrometers
		
		
		Pin Gauges
		
		
		Laser Micrometers
		
		
		Vision Systems
		
	
			
	
	Identify product defects and take corrective action when necessary.
	
	
	Ensure products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
	
	
Production & Documentation
	Complete production records and manufacturing documentation in accordance with GMP and ISO 13485 requirements.
	
	
	Monitor raw material consumption and track production output.
	
	
	Assist with material preparation, blending, and mixing operations.
	
	
	Package finished products according to specifications.
	
	
	Maintain accurate production and quality records.
	
	
Team & Facility Support
	Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
	
	
	Follow all company safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
	
	
	Train and mentor new team members as needed.
	
	
	Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
	
	
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply:

	ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environments

Experience with complex medical extrusions such as multi-lumen, multi-layer, or bump tubing is a plus.
Qualifications
	High School Diploma or GED required.
	
	
	Technical High School Diploma or Associate Degree in a STEM-related field preferred.
	
	
	Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent hands-on experience.
	
	
	Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
	
	
	Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
	
	
	Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments.
	
	
	Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, weights, and measurements.
	
	
	Strong verbal and written communication skills.
	
	
	Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
	
	
	Flexible and adaptable to manufacturing schedules and production demands.
	
	
Physical Requirements
	Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
	
	
	Ability to frequently lift up to 20 pounds.
	
	
	Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
	
	
	Ability to safely operate machinery and production equipment.
