Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Description:

Work a four-day work week!!

M.S. Walker has an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor who will be responsible for facilitating the efficient movement of both incoming and outgoing goods and product in a productive and cost-effective manner.

Shift: Monday-Thursday, Typically 1:00 pm - 12:00 am

Responsibilities:

  • To supervise all union and temporary personnel while On Duty (as being on Company Premises).
  • To properly document all actions of union employees including, but not limited to: absences, lateness, violations of Company and contractual rules and regulations.
  • To monitor through proper documentation all incoming and outgoing shipments of product and goods.
  • To communicate and relay vital Company operational information to supervisors, fellow supervisors and to the supervisor who is relieving you, in writing and/or verbally.
  • Provide customer service in a polite and efficient manner to customers and salespeople inquiring about orders over the telephone and/or in person.
  • Supervise and make delivery decisions by phone with union drivers while they are on their routes.
  • Supervise the morning check-out of union drivers including, but not limited to: documenting the number of invoices and (add on cases) the driver is checking out with.
  • To accurately sign temporary help vouchers with hours worked by the temporary helpers.
  • To properly secure and alarm Company premises when it is your responsibility to do so.
  • Report all delivery problems by logging them on daily driver phone-in for authorization report.
  • Monitor driver and warehouse employee's performance and report to supervisors.
  • Use computer for Inventory and customer service functions.
  • To coordinate the shipment of out-of-state/control state/wholesale shipments by communicating both verbally and in writing with the principles of each department involved: Inventory Control, Production and Control State/Wholesale departments.
  • To fill in on the duties and responsibilities of the Shipping Operations Manager on days and times when they are not present.
  • To monitor that all operations are conducted following Company safety procedures and that the safety of the workers that you are responsible for is of paramount importance - will not condone or overlook unsafe work practices.
  • To do daily warehouse checks (at the beginning and end of the shift) to make sure all breakage and garbage is cleaned before your shift is relieved.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
