Position Summary: Sr. NPI Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Amphenol: Valley Green, PA

ACS, a division of Amphenol, is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidthelectrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobil Networks, Storage,Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronicsrevolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM's globally.Our global headquarters are located in Wallingford, CT and we have design, salesand manufacturing locations globally.

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer, you will play acritical role in advancing the development and launch of innovative connectorMezzanine Products. Your responsibilities include leading manufacturabilityassessments, supporting the design and implementation of new processes, andcollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition fromprototype to mass production. You will provide hands-on support within themanufacturing facility, addressing component, documentation, and qualitychallenges as they arise, and will actively engage with customers to deliverapplication expertise and drive new business opportunities. This position isintegral to a global team, ensuring robust technical solutions and successfulproduct introductions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead DFM assessment and manufacturability analysis for new productdevelopment.Support scaled global manufacturing and mass production readiness.Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, production lines andautomation solutions.Work with engineering teams to ensure designs meet manufacturability andcost targets.Support trial production, production ramp and mass productionimplementation.Drive cost reduction and manufacturing efficiency initiatives.Collaborate with automation teams and manufacturing plants to implement newequipment and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.Strong experience supporting global manufacturing operations and high-volumeproduction.Experience with automated manufacturing lines and industrial automation.Knowledge of electronic assembly processes and production equipment. (SMT,Soldering process, Reflow, Pick and place equipment, etc.)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with internationalmanufacturing teams.The role requires a willingness to travel often to manufacturing facilitiesin Mexico or Malaysia, approximately 30% of the time.
