Job Description:
Partners Personnel is actively seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our client's operations in Whiteland, IN. If you possess relevant experience and are eager to contribute to a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply!
As a 1st Shift Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and warehousing process by operating material handling equipment effectively and safely. Your primary responsibilities will include moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. You may also assist with order filling and checking to ensure high-quality service and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient Equipment Operation: Operate sit-down and clamp forklifts to stack and store merchandise in designated areas, utilizing push-pull equipment as required.
- Inbound/Outbound Handling: Safely unload inbound shipments and transport products to storage locations. Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in the number and type of items loaded.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records and reports to support inventory control and security. Assist in physical counts and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all prescribed safety protocols and work methods. Conduct equipment inspections before operation and promptly report any safety concerns to management.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize RF scanning equipment to ensure inventory accuracy and maintain solid working knowledge of Excel and general computer operations.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 3 months of experience operating forklifts and/or warehouse distribution equipment.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10-12 hours, lift and/or pull up to 50 lbs without restriction, and perform frequent bending and reaching above and below the waist.
- Work Environment Adaptability: Ability to work in various conditions, including fluctuations in noise level, lighting, and temperature. Must be able to navigate all areas of the facility without limitations.
- Availability: Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification: Must be able to achieve NFI forklift certification.
- Skillset: Attention to detail, excellent customer service, and basic math skills are essential.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
