Job Title: Maintenance Tech- 2nd Shift
Location: East Hartford, CT 06108
Pay Rate: $30/hr - $35/hr (+ 15% Shift Differential)
Job Type: Direct Hire/Permanent Placement
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Onsite, 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri 3:30pm-12:00am)

Your Expertise (Skills & Experience):
Minimum of 3+ years related experience
Basic knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems.
Working knowledge of tool Probing function for CNC Mill Machines
Able to work with complex Numerical Control (NC) machines up to & including 5 Axis
Knowledge of OEM machine controllers
Technical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read blueprints
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of plant and machine safety
Basic computer skills.
Ability to operate custodial operation-related equipment and use applicable chemicals, supplies, hand and power tools
Your Challenge (Role & Responsibilities):
Perform mechanical repairs (and rebuilds) on all machines
Work with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering teams to maintain trouble-free equipment
Support with scheduling PM, reading reports, diagrams and drawings
Working knowledge of tool Probing function for CNC Mill Machines
Able to work with complex Numerical Control (NC) machines up to & including 5 Axis
Knowledge of OEM machine controllers
Perform machine leveling and alignment on all machines
Pull and replace machine linear guides and ball screws
Identify and replace parts as necessary
Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
General facilities maintenance
Coordinate with external suppliers and maintenance companies to ensure timely and accurate completion of work
Work based on sense of urgency with machine down conditions
In conjunction with production team, will support continuous improvement of development of PM instructions and schedules to prevent failures
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
Devise methods of altering machinery and equipment to improve operating characteristics
Fabrication and rebuilding of various mechanical assemblies
Check machine accuracy and adjust accordingly
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
