Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-precision components that meet strict quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong machining expertise, the ability to independently modify G-Code, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment for production runs.
Independently write, edit, and troubleshoot G-Code and M-Code programs.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, fixture installations, and offsets.
Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Utilize micrometers, calipers, gauges, microscopes, and other quality inspection tools.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend corrective actions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cycle time reductions, and quality enhancements.
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic repairs as needed.
Maintain accurate production records and inspection documentation.
Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials including metals and plastics.
Experience operating CNC mills and lathes.
Ability to independently perform minor G-Code modifications and program adjustments.
Proficient in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and optical inspection equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
Familiarity with SolidWorks and Fusion 360 is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout a 12-hour shift.
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends based on production requirements.
