Job description
GBC Advanced Materials is seeking a person for press operator in Latrobe PA. A press operator would run the assigned powder compacting presses, periodically inspect the parts coming off the press and make adjustments as necessary to keep them within the operational limits. As a press operator you will be responsible for:
• Doing weight and dimensional checks on the parts produced
• Making adjustments to the press as indicated by the SPC program
• Preforming visual inspections under a microscope of the parts for defects
• Unloading pressed parts off the press and onto sintering trays
• Log quantities of pressed parts into Traceability program
• Load appropriate power into presses as needed during production
Basic Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to learn to use Micrometers
• Be able to use a stereo microscope
Preferred Qualifications:
• Attention to detail and good manual dexterity is preferred
Salary is up to $20.00 per hour, DOE
