Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5AM - 3:30PM

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Successfully attained the knowledge, skills and abilities associated with the Assembler I job description.
  • Experienced in assembling medical devices on two or more product lines at or above the quantity standard rate projected by the Supervisor or Lead.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Quality System Policies by referencing and explaining written line procedures.
  • Completes and maintains accurate written records of manufacturing operations on production documentation following appropriate training, including Device History Records (DHRs), Data Sheets, and Lot Control documentation.
  • Understands and carries out instructions from assigned Supervisor or Lead regarding priorities, work schedules, special assignments, job standards, and related information required to build medical devices.
  • Adapts to changes in procedures and learns new processes due to product line and technology modifications.
  • Cross-trained on a variety of product line operations as needed.
  • Assists Assembler III personnel or Leads with training procedures when required.
  • Demonstrates a general understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and established metrics.
  • Proactively communicates material shortages to Leads or Supervisors.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by following housekeeping, safety guidelines, ergonomics practices, job rotation procedures, stretching exercises, tool handling requirements, and preventive maintenance protocols.
  • Maintains acceptable attendance standards and supports overtime and varying shift schedules as needed.
  • Uses time effectively and constructively while maintaining productivity and adherence to work area expectations.
  • Participates in Shared Leadership activities, including Kanban Management, Calibration, and Metrics Board Maintenance.
  • Performs all other essential duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 1–2 years of medical device assembly or ISO-certified manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience working in clean room environments and following clean room procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
  • Strong communication skills through in-person, telephone, and email interactions.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality, accuracy, and productivity standards.
  • Maintains confidentiality of documents, processes, and proprietary information.
  • Strong fine motor skills, dexterity, and hand-eye coordination for assembling small parts and subassemblies.
  • Experience operating manufacturing and measurement equipment, including microscopes, test equipment, EFDs, ultrasonic welders, soldering irons, dial calipers, pressure gauges, and rulers.
  • Proficient with basic Microsoft Windows applications and site-specific computer programs used in manufacturing operations.
