Compensation

• $66,500 $75,000 annually (based on experience)

Overview

Responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. This role also leads shift activities, supports team members, and drives production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up molding presses, install molds, and load materials

• Start jobs and verify first-piece quality against prints or samples

• Monitor production and perform routine quality checks

• Troubleshoot and adjust processes to maintain efficiency and quality

• Plan mold changeovers and schedule machines to minimize downtime

• Verify part numbers and ensure accurate production runs

• Lead, train, and support production staff during shift

• Coordinate with other teams to meet production and delivery goals

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Assist with basic equipment maintenance as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of injection molding setup, processing, or leadership experience

• Hands-on experience with molding machines, molds, and tooling

• Knowledge of plastics, resins, and molding processes

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to use measuring tools (calipers, scales, etc.)

• Leadership experience and ability to train others

• Strong attention to detail and organization

• Effective communication skills

• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)

Work Environment

Manufacturing setting with injection molding equipment. Requires time on the production floor with exposure to machinery, heat, and occasional plastic odors.
