Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator Assistant on the 1st Shift from 5am - 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays. We are seeking motivated individuals with a focus on safety, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced manufacturing personnel and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.

• Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.

• Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.

• Read and follow order specification documents.

• Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set.

• Work effectively with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations.

• Follow all company rules and policies.

• Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and write in English.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new skills within a standard timeline.

• Comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to perform mentally and physically at a high pace with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Authorization to work in the U.S.

• Must pass a drug screen and physical abilities test.

• Ambitious with long-term goals.

• Ability to ask questions and a desire to learn and move up within the company.

Work Environment

Work in a very large facility that experiences seasonal temperature variations. Utilize advanced machinery including a 112" Multiflute Corrugator, 62" Single Face Laminator, and various Die Cutters and Folder Gluers. The facility provides a gym for full-time employees and a break room with food for purchase. Expect a collaborative and dynamic work environment with opportunities for cross-training and skill development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.
