Job description:
As a Line Operator at Petit Pot, you play a key role in crafting our delicious desserts by operating machinery safely, efficiently, and with care. You will ensure that every step of production meets our high-quality standards while following all safety and sanitation regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate and maintain production equipment, including setup, operation, changeovers, and troubleshooting to detect and resolve product or machine issues.
Ensure product quality by performing regular checks and making necessary machine adjustments.
Follow GMP standards to maintain cleanliness and food safety in your work area.
Execute SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all assigned machinery.
Cross-train and support teammates by learning different equipment as assigned.
Keep accurate records of production activities, raw material usage, and any adjustments made.
Work safely and proactively, following all company safety policies.
Maintain reliable attendance, as consistent teamwork is crucial in production.
Report food safety or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Perform additional tasks as needed to support production goals
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience operating production equipment, including setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including lab coats, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), nitrile gloves, safety gloves, safety glasses, and slip-resistant shoes/boots.
Basic computer and communication skills, including the ability to read and follow production instructions.
Experience using hand tools such as knives, water hoses, band cutters, scales, and other small tools.
A team-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
ENVIRONMENT AND TOOLS USED:

Water hoses
Personal protective equipment (PPE)
Pallet-jack (with training)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work in temperature-variable environments (cold and warm areas).
Exposure to wet, slippery surfaces and frequent forklift traffic.
Constant standing and movement by foot.
Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, pulling, bending, and kneeling.
Occasional lifting over 50 lbs (with team assistance).
Regular use of hot/cold water hoses for cleaning and sanitation.
Possible exposure to food-safe chemicals used in sanitation processes.
