The Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect) will work to directly execute the strategic sourcing process for the development and management of strategic suppliers.
This position is responsible for managing the following indirect categories with an estimated total spend of $150M-$200M.
Marketing
BPO
Sales
Travel
Uniforms
Meetings, Events, Tickets & Entertainment
Waste non-hazardous
Responsibilities entail managing supplier relationships, conducting strategic sourcing events, enforcing compliance, and identifying and realizing cost savings opportunities.
This position will also be responsible for managing and developing an associate sourcing manager.
**It will be based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid work schedule.
What you'll do:
Perform sourcing activities for category products and services to include:
Establish and maintain constructive supplier relationships consistent with current organizational goals and objectives
Perform spend analysis
Conduct and report on market analysis
Develop category sourcing strategies and perform RFIs, RFPs and reverse auctions
Create company standards for these categories based on company requirements
Negotiate and finalize agreements including Master Sourcing Agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs, and Amendments
Develop and execute implementation, communication and compliance plans
Measure, manage, and report on realized cost savings, cost avoidance, supplier program compliance, service levels and category activity of key suppliers
Develop skill sets and knowledge base of team.
Identify, plan and ensure execution and compliance of sourcing strategies on various indirect categories.
Measure, manage, and report on savings and service levels of key providers.
Lead cross functional teams in the development of policies and programs related to various sourcing categories.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Management, Operations and/ or Accounting preferred. MBA or other graduate degree is a plus
CPIM/CPM or equivalent desirable
At least 5 - 7 years of progressive indirect strategic sourcing experience.
At least 2 years hands-on experience in a minimum of four of the following categories is required: Marketing, BPO, Sales, Travel, Uniforms, Meetings and Events, and non-hazardous Waste.
At least 2 - 4 years hands-on experience in negotiating standard contract terms and conditions and establishing detailed and performance-driven scope of work documents.
Experience in negotiating outsourcing agreements a plus.
Ability to interface effectively with people at all levels and in all functions; good communication and presentation skills
Success in a consultative role, i.e., proven ability to influence without authority
Exceptional negotiating skills and experience, and the capability and desire to train others in this strategic skillset.
Experience in establishing, communicating and managing Supplier Performance Metrics (cost/timeliness/quality); vendor relationship management experience.
Having a strong customer focus, collaborative management style, sense of urgency, strong project management skills, and attention to detail are paramount skills
Ability to sell services within the organization
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Occasional travel at 10-15%.
