The Senior Process Manager - Production & Logistics is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and sustainment of Lean manufacturing systems across the assembly plant. This role drives continuous improvement through handson leadership of hourly teams, structured Lean training, and disciplined application of Lean tools and behaviors to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities- Provides strategic leadership for process improvement initiatives through the disciplined application of metrics, governance, root-cause analysis, and evaluation of alternative operating models to establish and sustain best-in-class practices.
- Directs, plans, and oversees the work of a team responsible for delivering operational and analytical support to a designated business segment, function, or value stream.
- Serves as a recognized process improvement authority by applying deep functional expertise and engaging subject matter experts to drive cross-functional initiatives related to process optimization, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership, and procedural compliance.
- Acts as a advisor to operations leaders by guiding initiative prioritization, ensuring cross-functional integration, and aligning resources to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
- Ensures policies, procedures, and standard work are aligned with strategic vision and enterprise objectives; leads talent selection, development, and performance management to ensure effective and efficient functional operations.
- Leads the development and ongoing capability building of the hourly Production & Logistics (P&L) Office team, including ownership of site-wide P&L training strategy and execution.
- Champions the learning, application, and sustainment of Production and Logistics (P&L) methodologies through structured training, coaching, and continuous improvement activities across the site.
- Oversees onboarding and foundational capability development for Lego Conveyance and Basic Skills learning arenas, ensuring consistent standards and effective knowledge transfer.
- Supports and facilitates site strategy development, deployment, and execution to ensure alignment between operational priorities and enterprise goals.
- Partners closely with the Corporate P&L Office to drive alignment and execution of site-wide initiatives, ensuring adherence to common methods and enterprise standards.
- Actively collaborates with P&L leaders across other locations and Common Development Groups to enable enterprise-wide strategy execution through the adoption and deployment of P&L Way common methods.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for operational excellence and leads efforts to embed a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
OR
- Master's degree and at least 4 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
OR
- At least 8 years of process improvement, lean or six sigma experience
Lean Strategy & Deployment
- Lead the deployment and sustainment of Lean manufacturing principles, including Assignment Directives (ADs), Standard Work, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, and Visual Management
- Translate plant and business objectives into actionable initiatives aligned to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to identify process waste and implement countermeasures
Training & Capability Building
- Develop and deliver P&L (lean manufacturing) training programs for hourly employees, team leads, and supervisors
- Coach teams on Lean thinking, problem-solving methodology, and continuous improvement behaviors
- Build internal Lean capability by developing hourly employees into continuous improvement champions and facilitators
Team Leadership (Hourly Workforce)
- Directly lead and manage a team of hourly Lean / CI employees (or hourly operators assigned to improvement teams)
- Set clear expectations for safety, productivity, engagement, and Lean participation
- Conduct regular Gemba walks, audits, and team huddles to reinforce Lean standards and behaviors
Continuous Improvement Execution
- Facilitate Kaizen events and improvement workshops from planning through sustainment
- Ensure improvements are standardized, documented, and implemented across shifts
- Track and report Lean performance metrics, improvement results, and cost savings
Governance & Sustainment
- Establish and maintain Lean governance, including audit cadence, escalation paths, and standard metrics
- Ensure Lean systems are sustained through leader standard work and accountability routines
- Support plant leadership in culture transformation toward continuous improvement
