Location/Division Specific Information

As part of the Drug Product Division (DPD), the Greenville, North Carolina site is a multi-purpose pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging campus. The operation specializes in taking both sterile injectable and oral solid dose drug products from development phase through to commercialization.

Rotating schedule from 6am 6pm

Week 1: 12-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, totaling 48 hours

Week 2: 12-hour shifts on Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday, totaling 36 hours

How Will You Make an Impact?

Perform detailed repair as needed in the steriles manufacturing operation to support production schedules and limit/avoid replacement of full equipment or equipment modules.

A Day in the Life

  • Repair various systems, components and equipment using written instructions, sketches, plans, diagrams, oral descriptions or self-determined job requirements based on observed conditions.

  • Document conditions, actions, procedures and results of work, tests, or inspections performed as guided by company policies and procedures.

  • Review and determine priority of multiple repairs and completing repairs in a manner to best suit the manufacturing organization.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Associates degree in Electronics/Electrical, Instrumentation Technology, Engineering, or other applicable technical degrees is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of instrumentation experience is required with High School Diploma or equivalent; 4 years is preferred.

  • Associate's degree is acceptable with less than 2 years of instrumentation or electrical/electronic experience.

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Skilled in problem analysis, planning and organization.

  • Strong attention to detail, oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic and test equipment.

  • Reading and comprehension of blueprints, manuals and training materials.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Work in a clean-room which is a controlled environment for temperature and humidity having low ambient noise.

  • Wear gowning which includes: gloves, hair & beard net and face cover, safety glasses with no makeup / jewelry, and the like.

  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understand chemical hygiene.

  • Lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds max unassisted.

  • Frequently stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping.

  • Use hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing and pulling.

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds frequently.
