Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), No contact lens allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)

This position is based out of our Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group.

A Day in the Life:

  • Use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment.
  • Calibrate and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment. Identify and conduct basic troubleshooting equipment.
  • Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
Required: No previous work experience required

Preferred: 1+ years of experience in a cGMP environment is preferred.

1+ years of experience in a fast-paced work environment is strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • General understanding of technical, mechanical, and machinery equipment is preferred. Basic computer skills are required.
  • Strong attention to detail for complex instructions and documentation while maintaining quality output. Demonstrated proficiency in multiple processes in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Perform basic math, verbal, written, and oral communication with team.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 45 pounds and may be required to stand for extended periods of time while performing duties. Ability to squat, bend, and reach different items to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, beard guard (when required), safety glasses, and gloves. PPE may also include a bump cap, face shield, and full/half-face respirators.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $14.05$21.07.
