Facility Maintenance Mechanic (Temp)

Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing and industrial services, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Facility Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting operational excellence and safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Facility Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Bohemia, NY

Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.00

Shift: First Shift, 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday - Friday

Duration: 1-5 months (leave coverage)

What's the Job?

• Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure machinery operates efficiently and reliably.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other system issues.
• Assist in high-level technical inspections and modifications of industrial machinery.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including parts and supplies areas.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, construction, or related fields.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with CMMS systems and reading blueprints or shop drawings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Technical background in trades such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, or similar preferred.
