Manual Machinist

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Manual Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating conventional engine lathes, machining 300-series stainless steel, and using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards. Experience is preferred, but are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to learn a skilled trade. salary: $25 - $35 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional/manual engine lathes
• Machine parts to print specifications and required tolerances
• Work primarily with 300-series stainless steel materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts
• Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Monitor tooling and machine condition to ensure quality production
