Production Supervisor-2nd shift

GRN of Medina is filling a Production Supervisor at a family owned company that has been in business for the past 70 years. We have grown more in the past 5 years than in the previous 20! The location of this opportunity is in the heartland of Minnesota, near the Mankato Area and is available on 2 nd Shift . While the company has multi facilities, this facility further processs meat products . PRIMARY ACOUNTABILITIES:

• Employee safety, product quality and employee relations
• Supervisor of others to meet company standards for productivity, yield and material usage.
• Meet company goals for yield and productivity their department and area of responsibility
• Production Planning and Scheduling
• Compliance with State and Federal Regulations
• Assure USDA and customer specifications are met
• Accountable daily for the facilities production results thru monitoring of results and working with direct reports.
• Ability to use leadership skills to mentor and influence employees and results
• Computer abilities to ensure operation remains compliant with al critical control points around the quality standards of the facility
• Enjoys working the floor, being visible and coaching
• Employee Development that would include employee retention, discipline or taking needed action, new employee orientation, safety training and conducting performance reviews.
• Comfortable in talking in front of small groups

Education, Experience, Skills:

• Requires 2-3 years of production supervisory experience and 2 plus years of production experience in the food industry.
• Post high school studies
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma would be a plus
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with and understanding of USDA, SQF, AIP and HAACP
• Ability to communicate and work with vendors, operations and management personnel.
• History of success.
