About the role Job Description The Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant systems. This role continuously monitors and controls plant operations, responds to alarms, executes approved startup and shutdown procedures, and ensures compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational commitments. The Operations Supervisor provides strong leadership to the operations team, manages critical and emergency situations, and maintains high standards of performance, teamwork, and accountability. Key Responsibilities Monitor, control, and optimize plant systems to ensure safe and environmentally compliant operations Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions by taking appropriate corrective actions Execute plant startups, shutdowns, and outages in accordance with approved procedures Manage and prioritize tasks during emergency conditions, providing clear operational, safety, and environmental direction Lead shift turnover meetings and participate in daily morning meetings to ensure staffing, materials, and resources are aligned Maintain operational consistency through Leader Standard Work and adherence to standard operating procedures Detect, evaluate, document, and resolve deviations from approved plans and procedures Monitor production progress against established targets and schedules Identify, escalate, and drive resolution of roadblocks impacting safety, quality, and productivity Leadership & People Management Supervise, coach, and develop operations personnel to maximize performance and engagement Build and maintain strong morale and efficiency within the Operations department Interview, hire, train, and onboard team members in accordance with Reworld policies and applicable laws Establish expectations, provide frequent performance feedback, and ensure accountability through progressive discipline Promote employee development, certification, and recertification across critical and noncritical operations Maintain a strong working knowledge of Auxiliary Operator and Control Room Operator roles and stand watch as needed Safety & Continuous Improvement Demonstrate and enforce safe work practices at all times; serve as a visible safety role model Lead efforts to promote a strong safety culture and hold daily safety interactions with employees Identify and correct unsafe acts and hazardous conditions in a timely manner Champion continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence Implement and sustain the 5S program, including auditing for longterm effectiveness Develop and update SOPs, Standard Work, and Visual Management tools as required Standardize shift turnover processes and daily operational meetings Schedule & Flexibility Regular schedule: Monday-Friday Must be flexible to cover other Supervisors' shifts during PTO, outages, and as business needs require Yearround operation requiring rotating 12hour shifts Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work in confined spaces and closed quarters Ability to climb ladders and structures and work at heights Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to tolerate high temperatures and industrial environments Qualifications 5-7 years of relevant operations or industrial supervisory experience High School Diploma or GED required Strong leadership, communication, decisionmaking, and problemsolving skills Detailoriented with strong analytical abilities and independent judgment Ability to manage critical events calmly and decisively Must obtain ASME QRO Provisional Certification within six (6) months and pass certification within twelve (12) months of hire What We Offer You In addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits. Pay Transparency Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $99,000.00 - $141,500.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
