HS Assembler | Monday - Thursday Position Overview This position is Monday - Thursday 2:45pm-12:45am. Position Overview: Assemble Hard Surface and Soft Surface sample boards according to work order instructions. Primary Responsibilities: Retrieve Hard Surface (HS)/Soft Surface (SS) material and boards from appropriate staging area based on promise date. Verify style/color and quantity of boards to be assembled by the work order/traveler. Build HS/SS boards according to the specs on the work orders. May be required to pack SS POD orders. Refill Polyurethane (PUR) glue and 426 Hot Melt glue tanks throughout shift as needed. Be able to operate the PUR glue gun to apply glue to panels and deck boards. Be able to operate the 426 Hot Melt glue gun to apply glue to deck boards for SS orders. Notify Lead/Expeditor if a material shortage needs to be requested. Follow work as prioritized by the system or by management. Must adhere to the normal working schedule (i.e., starting and stopping times) and comply with corporate policies. Must have basic knowledge of computer operations. Other Duties: Other duties as requested by the lead or supervisor. May be required to pack Hard Surface or Soft Surface orders as instructed. May be required to label Hard Surface boards as instructed. Seek lead/expeditors assistance with quality problems. Clean the work area at the end of the shift. Any duties found necessary to aid in maintaining a safe and efficient operation. Will be required to participate in stretching exercises as directed by the supervisor or lead. Position Requirements: Must be able to read, understand, and record information on forms. Must possess effective communication skills. Must be able to meet quality/production standards. Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time between breaks. Must be able to continuously use arms/hands. Bending, kneeling, reaching, and turning throughout shift. Must be able to lift between 15 - 50 lbs. Must be able to work in areas with elevated temperatures. Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
