We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician who is responsible for packing molds. Essential Job Functions: Pack sand molds Break up sand molds and slag Ability to apply mold coating and ramming/packing sand molds Remove gates, sprues and other projections from castings Clean castings and patterns Follow oral and written instructions and/or direction given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Requirements: Safe operation of all tools Materials handling experience preferred Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment Demonstrates excellent communication skills Required Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time. Work Environment: Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand, Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
