The Opportunity

Our Plymouth locion is seeking a high caliber, motived, self-driven engineering leader to join Plymouth - Operions team in Abbotts Electrophysiology business unit specifically working on new product launches for EP Cheters. In Abbotts Electrophysiology (EP) business, were advancing the trement of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in rial fibrillion, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Individuals in this role will work on a new product launch and sustained support working cross functionally with partners from operions, supply chain and development teams. This position will support the launch and ramp of a new product line as well as assist with building out the rest of the technical staff to support the production area.

Wh Youll Work On

  • Lead various aspects of Operions Readiness as part of launching new products for Abbotts Electrophysiology business unit
  • Engage with development (Research and Development and Process Development) teams to build knowledge for current ste operions and use insight to build plans and execute successful design transfers and ramp.
  • Engage with operions (Production and Supply Chain) teams to support ramp plans, new line introduction plans including equipment ordering, receipt, qualificion and validion.
  • Drive cross functional engagement to support process, product and equipment improvements.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to other engineers and technicians. Additional responsibilities include:
    • Provide technical mentorship to engineers and technicians
    • Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validions
    • Improve product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput with Lean manufacturing concepts
    • Coordine the design, procurement, build and debug of tooling, machinery and test equipment
  • Collabore with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability and product launch readiness
  • Provide front line engineering support for day to day needs of production

  • Have excellent organizion, problem solving, communicion, and team leadership skills
  • Have ability to multitask, prioritize their work and make da driven decisions
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams

Required Qualificions

  • Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical or any engineering or technical degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing engineering experience. Prior manufacturing engineering or process development experience is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Demonstred leadership capability in team settings
  • Ability to lead and motive peers, drive change and problem solve with creivity.
  • Ability to travel approximely 5-10%, including internionally.

Preferred Qualificions

  • Medical device experience is preferred

The base pay for this position is $78,000.00 $156,000.00. In specific locions, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
