PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading company in the Electronics Manufacturing industry to hire a talented and motivated Lead Engineer in Test Manufacturing. About the Role

As a Lead Engineer in Test Manufacturing, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing automated test equipment and test processes used in product testing and design verification. Your expertise will help improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and overall operational performance while supporting advanced electronics manufacturing initiatives.

What Youll Do

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Define, specify, qualify, install, support, and optimize automated test equipment and test processes

  • Lead test process optimization initiatives focused on improving cycle time, yield, and operational efficiency

  • Troubleshoot and debug test equipment and manufacturing processes using Design of Experiments (DOE), failure analysis, and diagnostic tools

  • Collaborate with Quality, Process, and Equipment Engineering teams to resolve product and yield performance issues

  • Analyze yield reports, equipment logs, and product diagnostics to identify sources of yield loss

  • Develop improvement roadmaps for test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)

  • Support integration of test equipment into Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance manufacturing quality and productivity

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 13 years of related engineering or manufacturing test experience

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Experience working with automated test equipment and manufacturing processes

  • Ability to analyze technical data and implement process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and failure analysis methodologies

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

  • Background in electronics manufacturing or high-volume production environments

  • Familiarity with yield analysis, test diagnostics, and process optimization

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments

Work Environment

  • Professional office and manufacturing environment

  • Extended periods of computer-based technical analysis and data review

  • Frequent use of engineering software and detailed technical documentation

  • Occasional travel may be required

Pay Details: $35.58 to $40.00 per hour
