Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs on conveyor, bottling, and packaging systems. Your role will involve motor changes, troubleshooting and diagnosing faults, changing drives and belts, gearboxes, and performing preventative maintenance. You will field service calls throughout the facility to diagnose and troubleshoot any issues, addressing common service calls to fix machine stoppages, change faulty cylinders, fix photo eyes, replace chains, and more. Preventative maintenance is a smaller portion of the job, conducted during the cleaning window, which lasts 2-3 hours every 1-2 days. Responsibilities Perform mechanical repairs on conveyor, bottling, and packaging systems. Field service calls and troubleshoot issues across the facility. Conduct motor changes and diagnose faults. Replace drives, belts, gearboxes, and chains. Fix machine stoppages, change bad cylinders, and repair photo eyes. Conduct preventative maintenance during the cleaning window. Work Environment Work shifts are from 6-6, either days or nights, with schedules including M-W and every other weekend or W-F and every other weekend. Expect to be on day shifts for 4-6 weeks before transitioning to the actual shift. The environment is a standard food environment, cold but not unbearable, and is highly organized with significant investments in new conveyor systems, blow molding lines, and packaging lines. Comfortable attire is permitted, allowing tennis shoes instead of steel-toed boots. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Little Rock, AR.
