Assembly Technician

Assembler / General Laborer - $16 an hour Shift: 6am-2:30pm Location: Coal Valley, Illinois Position Summary Join a fast-growing company supporting major clients such as Arconic, Caterpillar, and Plastics Unlimited. Due to continued growthparticularly with Caterpillarwe are seeking reliable and motivated Assemblers/General Laborers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building wooden crates and boxes to precise customer specifications while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Assemble wooden boxes and crates according to detailed customer specifications Safely and efficiently operate hand tools and power tools in a production setting Use and read a tape measure accurately to ensure proper dimensions and quality Operate pneumatic nail guns (2-14 lbs.) to assemble products Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently Complete productivity logs and shipping tags clearly and accurately Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety standards Required Skills & Abilities Proficiency with hand tools and power tools Ability to accurately read and interpret a tape measure Experience operating a pneumatic nail gun Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Preferred Qualifications Experience with band cutters, banding equipment, or packaging tools Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or general labor environments Why Join Our Team? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
