Ensures community engagement and drives success by building and managing a strong volunteer team. Lead the front-end team to deliver excellent guest experience while ensuring efficient, accurate, and mission-aligned store operation. Train, motivate, and manage Guest Services team and volunteers. Directly impacts customer satisfaction, transaction efficiency and sales. Reports to Store Manager. Supervises Guest Services Associates and Volunteers. Assigns positions, manages breaks, and ensures coverage. Acts as a go-to leader for front -end operations. Handles escalated customer concerns professionally. Ensuring every guest interaction reflects a welcoming, community-focused environment. Models strong service behavior for staff and volunteers. Oversees register operations and accuracy. Perform cash counts, manage tills, and ensure proper cash handling procedures. Investigates and resolves discrepancies. Ensures the front-end and sales floor are clean, organized, and stocked. Coordinates go-backs, recovery, and merchandizing support. Promote programs such as round-up donations, events, and community initiative such as social media outreach. Monitors customer flow and adjusts staffing as needed. Trains and coaches team members and volunteers on service standards and procedures. Reinforces productivity, accuracy, and guest engagement expectations such as regular sale announcements. Supports onboarding of new hires. Welcomes and onboards new volunteers in alignment with store and mission needs. Provides clear instruction, assigns tasks, and ensures volunteers are set up for success. Help coordinate volunteer schedules and maintain consistent coverage. Create a positive, inclusive environment to encourage retention. Monitor performance and provide feedback. Address questions and concerns while ensuring compliance with store policies. Help with opening/closing procedures as needed. Production Supervisor (40 hours per week) This role is the engine of the store-ensuring donations are processed quickly, priced correctly, and moved to the floor to generate sales and support the mission. Leads the donation/backroom/production operation. Directly impacts sales volume, inventory flow, and revenue. Works closely with Donor Services, Production, and Guest Services teams. Reports to the Store Manager. Lead the donation/backroom/production team to efficiently turn donated goods into quality sellable merchandise that drives revenue and supports the stores mission. Supervise Donor Services, Production Associates, and volunteers. Assign daily tasks (sorting, pricing, tagging, staging). Ensure consistent productivity and workflow. Oversee donation intake, sorting and movement. Ensure steady flow of the front donation area to production to sales floor. Prevent bottlenecks and manage high-volume periods. Ensure items meet the quality standards before hitting the floor. Guide pricing accuracy based on store guidelines and value recognition. Monitor consistency across categories. Track and drive daily/weekly production goals (racks,bins, revenue output). Balance speed with quality. Adjust staffing and priorities to meet targets. Coordinate with Guest Services team to maintain proper stock levels. Ensure timely rotation of merchandise. Reduce overstock and backroom congestion. Assist with donation intake as needed. Support merchandising strategies (seasonal flow, clearance movement, promotional sales). Maintain clean, organized, and safe production areas. Help with opening/closing procedures as needed. Enroll and onboard volunteers for production roles. Train volunteers on sorting, pricing, and safety procedures. Supervise and assign tasks to ensure productivity and engagement. Provide feedback and maintain accountability. Requirements Able to list, push, pull 20 pounds unassisted. Able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds assisted. Able to stand long periods.
