We are a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Quality Technician . This position reports to Quality Manager and will work in Sparta. About the position As a Quality Technician in the Sparta team, you will be involved in inspecting finished fuel and sanitation tanks, both Marine and non-marine, Marine steering and control systems, as well as components, sub-assemblies, and kits produced at the Sparta Plant. They also evaluate returned products related to warranty or customer claims with support from other departments. Additionally, the technician conducts random product audits to ensure quality standards. Your main responsibilities Performs in-process and final inspection of finished good product for Marine and Non-Marine fuel and sanitation tanks and Marine steering and control systems. Inspects Dometic and supplier components as well as sub-assemblies and kits. Inspect any returned product from field warranty or customer (OEM) claims. Evaluating issues with support of Quality Administration, Engineering, and Product Management. Will perform random sampling of product audits. What do we offer? Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Disability insurance (STD/LTD) 401 (k) with company match PTO Company defined holidays and two floating holidays for you to use as you choose Paid maternity/paternity leave Tuition assistance Membership reimbursement (wholesale club and gym) Employee discounts on our incredible products Opportunities to make an impact A suitable background would be a solid experience within quality and manufacturing - as well as the following qualifications and experiences: Inspect to Part Number, Blueprint, or Standard, all First Piece and Production Product Understanding of BOM, SOP, and Work Instructions Minimum (2) years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment Understanding of Metrology Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ability to use measurement and test equipment (CMM, calipers, mics, durometer, indicators, etc.) Familiar with plant operating systems (1Factory, MAPICS, INFOR, Smart System) Ability to perform Product / Process Audits Ability to perform receiving inspections, in-process inspections or finished goods inspections High school diploma or equivalent To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics: Good communication skills - written and verbal Math skills Attention to Detail Daily standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, and pushing / pulling Ability to lift and/or move product that may weigh up to 25 - 60 lbs. Ability to focus on detail while dealing with multiple projects at once. Ability to work independently and within a team.
