Production Associate Wage: $17.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm The Production Associate is responsible for assembling kits by accurately picking and organizing pre-selected components and raw materials, followed by thorough inspection to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity and smooth production flow by ensuring that all kits are complete, undamaged, and meet company and regulatory specifications. Production Associate Responsibilities: - Locate, pick, and organize specific parts and materials based on work orders or picking lists - Assemble components into complete kits for production or shipment - Perform in-process and final inspections on kits, parts, and products - Verify accuracy, completeness, and quality per specifications - Visually inspect components for physical damage, proper labeling, and dimensional accuracy - Ensure all assemblies meet defined standards before release - Accurately record inspection results and maintain required documentation - Identify and report non-conformances, and complete relevant test reports or paperwork - Move components and finished kits to and from designated areas safely and efficiently - Use proper handling techniques and equipment as required - Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and company policies - Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and governmental regulations - Keep workstations clean, organized, and free from safety hazards - Participate in 5S or other lean manufacturing practices as needed Requirements for Production Associate: - Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in picking and assembling components - Manual Dexterity: Steady hands and good coordination for handling small or delicate parts - Measuring Equipment Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like calipers, micrometers, or gauges (preferred) - Computer Literacy: Ability to work with inventory systems, inspection software, or digital records - Interpretation Skills: Read and understand work instructions, drawings, and quality specifications - Communication: Strong verbal and written communication to report defects or process issues clearly - Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, bend, and lift materials during shift (may include lifting up to 50lbs) - May involve exposure to moderate noise levels, dust, or moving equipment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
