Job Position: Maintenance Tech Location: ARLINGTON, TX 76011 Pay Rate: $24.00/hr - $38.00/hr Shift: 2nd Shift Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated, team-oriented 2nd Shift Maintenance Tech to support our production lines and keep our plant machinery running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair front-line Diagnostic Support: Provide rapid, hands-on troubleshooting and mechanical repairs directly on the high-volume production floor. Multi-System Maintenance: Perform basic to intermediate preventative maintenance and repairs across industrial electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. IMM Specialized Care: Troubleshoot and service plastic Injection Molding Machines (IMM) and localized auxiliary equipment to reduce scrap and optimize uptime. Complex Task Collaboration: Partner closely with senior technicians and engineering staff to coordinate and execute major equipment overhauls or complex repair activities. Leadership, Care & Communication Apprentice Mentorship: Guide, instruct, and assist junior technicians or machinery apprentices with safe tool handling and proper machine setup choices. Shift Handover Logging: Document active or pending repair files cleanly, ensuring a seamless communication transition of unresolved plant elements to the incoming morning shift. Parts & Inventory Tracking: Follow established internal facility procedures for spare parts checking, log tracking, and inventory management. Shop 5S Compliance: Promote a positive and productive work environment by keeping the central maintenance shop and individual toolrooms clean and highly organized. Documentation & Administration Technical Recording: Accurately complete required plant maintenance logs, equipment work orders, and compliance documentation. System Logging: Maintain basic computer logs of shift activities and maintenance tickets using Microsoft Office tools and internal company systems. Job Requirements & Qualifications Education & Background Education: High School Diploma or GED credential required; secondary skilled trades education or vocational certificates are a strong plus. Experience Minimum: At least 3 years of hands-on experience explicitly dedicated to the maintenance, fault isolation, and repair of Injection Molding Machines (IMM). Core Skills & Technical Competencies Schematics Literacy: Proficient in reading, tracing, and interpreting complex hydraulic blueprints, electrical diagrams, and mechanical schematics. Document Interpretation: Highly skilled at reading and quickly analyzing technical operating manuals and manufacturer documents. Resilience: Excellent organizational skills with the capability to multitask and make sound decisions under the pressure of fast-paced plant deadlines. Professional Communication: Maintain a professional demeanor and respectful communication style when interfacing with line operators and management alike. Physical Demands & Safety Requirements Stamina: Capable of standing, walking, and moving around concrete production bays for extended periods throughout the shift. Weight Management: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly as required by daily repair tasks. Safety Mandate: An unwavering commitment to workplace safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) guidelines, and the correct, mandatory usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
