Position Overview Reporting to the Shipping Operations Manager, the Senior Shipping Coordinator will support the coordination and execution of a large-scale diaper access initiative across California, including outbound orders shipped via third-party freight carriers. The individual will work in conjunction with Baby2Baby's 3PL partner to ensure orders are submitted, fulfilled and reconciled within the parameters of our agreement. The Senior Shipping Coordinator will work Monday-Friday out of our distribution center currently located in Van Nuys. The distribution center will be moving to a new space close to Downtown Los Angeles in 2026. The work is performed onsite in an office and warehouse setting 5 days per week. Duties and Responsibilities Partners with a 3rd party logistics company to communicate daily order fulfillment and schedules pick-ups for outbound shipping orders. Communicates with the program team regarding recipient organization shipping requirements and constraints and provides tracking information to program teams for all orders being shipped via 3rd party carrier. Updates distributed orders daily in the warehouse management system, including those shipped via 3rd party carriers, delivered on Baby2Baby vehicles, and picked up by partner organizations; partners with each warehouse to maintain detailed and accurate information. Ensures all Baby2Baby orders are scheduled and delivered in a timely manner and communicates obstacles to the program team. Maintains accurate and organized shipping document archive. Acts as the point person for all 3rd party freight shipments. Partners with the 3rd party logistics company and Shipping Ops Manager to ensure all orders are fulfilled and shipped within the expected timeframe. Provides operational & clerical shipping support to the Shipping Operations Manager. Assists, as needed, with the labeling and loading of orders onto shipping and delivery vehicles. Helps maintain partner/sponsor relationships. Other duties, as assigned. Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience working with 3rd party freight companies and using online shipping portals. Resourceful in setting priorities and identifying opportunities to improve processes and create efficiencies. Warm, professional, and respectful demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach. Adaptable with the ability to effectively respond to shifting priorities, changing schedules, and operational needs throughout the day. Comfortable using a manual pallet jack. Must be able to frequently lift 50lbs. Basic computer skills. Valid driver's license. Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, credibility, and a strong commitment to Baby2Baby's mission. Preferred Qualifications Fluent Spanish speaker. Knowledge of freight classifications. Experience driving a stand-up forklift.
