CNC Machine Operator Location: Piedmont, South Carolina Shift Openings 2nd Shift 3rd Shift Pay Starting Pay: $24.76/hr Off-Shift Differential: +$2.00/hr Total Off-Shift Pay: $26.76/hr What You'll Do Operate and support CNC machining equipment in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment Work with automated and semi-automated production equipment and robotic systems Perform machine startup procedures and production quality checks Troubleshoot minor machine interruptions and support production uptime Perform preventative maintenance checks and basic machine upkeep Use gauges and measuring tools to verify parts meet specifications Support machine changeovers and production flow across multiple manufacturing areas Maintain safe work practices and support 5S / continuous improvement initiatives Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to support manufacturing operations Minimum Requirements / Skills Needed Prior machining experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated ability to properly use gauging equipment such as calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, and related inspection tools Knowledge of equipment condition check sheets and production documentation Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks as required by production schedules Ability to complete required quality checks and troubleshoot production stoppages Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to learn multiple production lines and cross-train as needed Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement standards Regular and dependable attendance Ability to work overtime and any assigned shift as needed Preferred Backgrounds Experience in any of the following is highly valued: CNC machining Automotive manufacturing Robotics / automation Production technician roles Mechanical troubleshooting Machine setup and operation Metal fabrication or metalworking High-volume manufacturing environments Why JTEKT?
