Machine Operator Wage: $18.00 - $19.00/Hour Shift: 1st or 2nd Shift Hours: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Are your skills not being fully utilized? Apply now! Machine Operator Responsibilities: - Understand and comply with safety rules and regulations - Load and unload parts onto and off of conveyor belts that lead to and from furnaces. Most are done by robots for you. There are machines where it's done manually but at a safe distance - Inspect parts for quality of product - May sort parts for packing using appropriate equipment and procedures - May package parts using appropriate equipment and procedures - Complete required paperwork - Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness according to 5S standards - Proper use of lubes and coolants where required - Promptly inform Supervisor or Value Stream Leader of quality-related issues - Attend meetings and training sessions when necessary - Actively participate in GKN continual improvement efforts as they relate to quality, safety, 5S, environment, and production efficiency - Able to multitask between 2 or more machines - Any other duties assigned by Shift Supervisor, Value Stream Leader, or Management Requirements For Machine Operator: - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs - Must be able to stand 10+ hours a shift - Must be able to twist, bend, and lift as needed - Must be able to withstand hot temperatures at all times - Must be 18 years of age - Must follow all general safety rules - Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills - Skilled in performing detailed work with a high degree of accuracy - Previous machining experience preferred - Must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
