Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling medical equipment such as lifts that support people with mobility needs. You will work at a seated station within a sub-assembly setup, following clear diagrams and digital instructions to complete your tasks. Parts will be organized for you, and you will retrieve and assemble them using hand tools to produce high-quality, reliable equipment. A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and consistent effort are highly valued in this position. Responsibilities Assemble medical equipment components, including lifts and related parts, according to provided diagrams and instructions. Work at a designated seated station within a sub-assembly environment to complete assigned assembly tasks. Follow digital work instructions and diagrams displayed on an iPad to ensure accurate and consistent assembly. Retrieve organized parts from designated areas and verify that all required components are available before starting assembly. Use hand tools safely and effectively to assemble parts and fasten components as required. Perform basic quality checks on assembled products to confirm they meet specifications and function correctly. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, cleaning up any messes and ensuring the station is tidy before the end of each day. Handle light lifting and movement of parts and assemblies as needed during the production process. Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures while operating tools and handling materials. Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with parts, tools, or instructions to ensure smooth workflow. Essential Skills Approximately 1 year of assembly experience preferred in a manufacturing or production environment. At least 6 months of regular experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, or similar tools. Ability to read and follow diagrams, work instructions, and digital documentation on an iPad or similar device. Comfort using basic hand tools for mechanical assembly tasks. Ability to perform light lifting and handle physical aspects of assembly work while seated or standing as needed. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly of components. Reliable attendance and willingness to work the scheduled shifts, including extended hours when required. Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a focus on effort and willingness to learn. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with electrical circuit boards or panels is highly beneficial for these openings. in manufacturing or production environments is an asset. Comfort working with technology and digital work instructions on an iPad. Ability to work independently at a station while contributing to overall team production goals. Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled, very clean manufacturing facility with an emphasis on organization and personal workstation upkeep. You will work at a dedicated, seated sub-assembly station using hand tools and digital instructions provided on an iPad. The standard shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with regular work expected until 4:30 p.m. on some days and anticipated mandatory overtime in the near future. Team members are responsible for keeping their own work areas clean and are expected to clean up any messes before the end of each day. The dress code requires jeans or khakis without holes and prohibits graphic t-shirts, promoting a neat and professional appearance on the production floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryland Heights, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
