General Production Worker Location Seattle, WA This role supports daily production by preparing, masking, sanding, and handling parts in a fast paced manufacturing environment. You will work with a team to get parts ready for finishing, follow work orders accurately, and maintain high quality standards while performing repetitive tasks on your feet for most of the shift. Responsibilities Stand for 6 to 8 hours while performing repetitive production tasks Handle all parts carefully and follow quality expectations at all times Tape, mask, and sand parts to prepare them for painting Use basic math for measurements and counts Follow work orders and complete tasks accurately Inspect parts before and after preparation Use hand tools safely for masking and sanding Assist as a racker or paint assistant as needed Communicate clearly and support smooth workflow Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety guidelines Essential Skills Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks Strong attention to detail for high value parts Ability to perform basic math Experience in production or general labor Ability to read and follow work orders Safe and effective use of hand tools Teamwork and communication skills Comfort working around noise, fumes, and active machinery Additional Skills and Qualifications Experience with masking, sanding, or paint preparation Experience as a racker or paint assistant Experience inspecting parts for defects Ability to handle high value components with care Comfort working in a fast paced production environment Why Work Here Join a production team where your reliability and attention to detail directly support high quality finished products. Work Environment This role follows a 4x10 schedule with shifts on Friday and Monday from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. Work takes place in a production facility with paint booths and open chemical bins nearby, creating noticeable fumes in masking and packing areas. Machines run throughout the day, creating a consistently noisy environment. You will stand for most of the shift and perform repetitive tasks. Casual attire is allowed, but sleeveless shirts and tank tops are not permitted. Closed toe shoes are required, and construction style footwear is preferred for racking. The building is not insulated, so temperatures vary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.10 - $22.10/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
