Mill and/or CNC Lathe Machinist Needed

Mill and/or CNC Machinist for a supplier of aerospace, automotive,
and automated calibration systems located in north-west Phoenix, Arizona

Job Title: Mill and/or CNC Machinist
Schedule: 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday; 8hrs /day or possible extended shifts, some overtime.

Summary

Tovey Engineering Inc. is hiring a Mill and/or CNC Lathe Machinist to produce machined parts to engineering
specifications. The machinist is responsible for maintaining part quality and machinery operation
while observing safety standards and keeping production / measurement records.
All work is performed in our modern north-west Phoenix, AZ air-conditioned facilities.
Responsibilities:
Machine Set-up: Set-up and configure CNC lathes and/or mills,
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine operations, dimensions, and tolerances. adhering to international / shop standards.
Machine Programming: input machine instructions into computerized control (CNC) machines.
Material Preparation: Prepare and load raw materials.
Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to drawing specifications.
Quality Control: Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance.
Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with machining equipment, making minor repairs and adjustments as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of production and machine maintenance.
Follow safety protocols when operating machinery.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Experienced and Knowledgeable in the operation of CNC machinery
Knowledgeable in basic computer skills needed to maintain correct data & records keeping
Team player
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time
US Citizen or valid work permit
