Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift (Mechanical Focus) Manufacturing Facility | Mitchell, SD Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-4:30 PM Overtime: Occasional Saturdays as needed Pay: $25-$30/hour (depending on experience) Why This Role? You'll be the goto person keeping production and packaging equipment running safely and efficientlywithout rotating shifts or constant oncall work. What You'll Be Doing Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems on production and packaging equipment Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, belts, chains, and related systems Diagnose breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and keep production moving Assist with equipment installs, upgrades, and improvements Work closely with production teams to address equipment issues Document maintenance work and follow all safety procedures Support occasional weekend maintenance when needed What We're Looking For 1+ year of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (handson mechanical experience or strong personal/mechanical considered) Solid understanding of mechanical systems (bearings, sprockets, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.) Ability to read equipment manuals and mechanical drawings Basic electrical troubleshooting is a plus, not a requirement Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment What's In It for You Competitive hourly pay based on your experience Consistent 1stshift schedule with predictable hours Longterm stability in a manufacturing environment Teamoriented culture with a strong focus on safety Opportunity to grow your mechanical skill set over time Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mitchell, SD.
