CNC Machinist

A well-established manufacturer with more than 80 years of mechanical innovation is seeking a CNC Machinist in Donalsonville, GA. Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Machinist position include: 3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment preferred Strong experience operating and programming CNC lathes and vertical mills in a 2+ axis machining environment Experience with advanced turning centers, including sub-spindle and live tooling operations, is highly desirable Comfortable working in a shop environment with a heavier focus on lathes versus mills (approximately 60/40 mix) Mazatrol programming experience on Mazak T-Plus controllers strongly preferred Experience with SmoothG programming is a plus Ability to create and edit programs directly at the machine control; offline CAM software experience is not required Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, setups, and process optimization Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and efficiency Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple jobs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Salary: $20-$30 per Hour, commensurate with experience.
