We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area. Job Summary Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a Level II Manufacturing Technicians for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position will be responsible for building electro-mechanical assemblies per blueprints, schematics, and company standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using basic hand tools such as ratchets, screw drivers and wrenches.Job Responsibilities
Perform electro-mechanical assembly, disassembly and rework
Provide technical support to engineers and scientist on moderately complex components, devices, material, products, processes and/or equipment
Responsible for testing, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic, optical and mechanical assemblies
Work from moderately complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches
Design and test prototype assemblies and production units
Use judgment in re-working or re-wiring to bring unit within quality control specifications
Test, inspect, and repair electronic, optical or mechanical assemblies
Work under minimal supervision and may provide guidance to other technicians
Capable of performing related manufacturing processes
Interpret and follow written documents such as SOPs and safety rules
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the company in accordance with State and Federal regulations and any applicable certification required to maintain the certification
May assist in training new team members
Interface with other departments to assure efficient flow of information and materials
Perform Key Performance Indicators:
Meet production deadlines
Quality of finished product (Pass/fail rates)
Raw material stock levels
Compliance outcomes
Ability to coordinate several activities at the same time, and to reprioritize in response to changing operational conditions
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Some test and repair of various electronic products and mechanical assemblies
Work from complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications and sketches and running sheets of significant complexity
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in the field or in a related area
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Must demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership skills
Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices
Soldering and wirebonding experience a plus
Must have good mechanical skills
Must be experienced in the safe handling of chemicals
Ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, climb, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time
Ability to lift heavy materials
Ability to access and work within restricted spaces in and around vehicles when necessary
Experienced in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and Labview
Experience with MRP a plus
The salary range for this position is $41,011.00/year- $53,315.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
