Explanation Requirements Organization Responsibilities Process: Manufacturing Reports To: Machine Shop Supervisor Responsible for setting up and running machines to produce product as per the required work order and drawing. Minimum qualifications: The candidate must be a team player, should be able to work independently, act decisively, and have above-average planning and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience: Preferred 3-5 year setting up and operating machinery, mills, lathes, cutting equipment. CNC experience a plus. Must be able to read and interpret engineering blue prints and customer specifications Education: A minimum of high school education or GED with previous experience is required. Working conditions: Sitting, walking, and standing for up to 10 hours in the Day. Able to lift 25 lbs. as required. Minimum 40 work hours expected per week during company operating hours. Some over-time may be required. Other Duties may be assigned as appropriate. Duties and Responsibilities AUTHORITY Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to the product, process, and quality system. To identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system. To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. To verify the implementation of solutions and control further processing or delivery of non-conforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. 1. Set up, operate CNC mills according to programmer instructions, Client out, plan, and recognize required tooling and material blanks for assignments using blue prints, customer sketches and verbal instructions. 2. Develops and fabricates the fixtures and tooling as required to complete his or her assignments using shop equipment and hand tools as required to achieve end results. 3. Must be team oriented, provides instruction and guidance to others as required. Must work directly with other Machinist and CNC programmer. 4. Must be able to communicate to peers and supervision on work status. 5. Must practice good housekeeping habits. 6. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. 7. Receives and checks formed unit with work order. 8. Prepares trim tools, Air Rams, Tool fixtures and other measuring equipment. 9. Process Drilling and Edge Break (Vent Holes) 10. Manufacture product with quality. 11. Follow the work order instructions and report any discrepancies. 12. Good judgement skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. 13. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with people on all levels and from various backgrounds. 14. Maintain product traceability at all times. 15. Reduce Scrap. 16.
