Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Warehouse Chemical Handler for our client, a high-purity chemical manufacturing facility supporting semiconductor and electronics production, in NW Portland, OR. This role supports chemical packaging, material handling, and clean room operations in a safety-focused manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a structured production setting with strict quality and safety standards.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $25.50/hour

Shift: Swing Shift, Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Schedule Expectations: Overtime frequently available

Position Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Package and blend chemicals according to established SOPs and customer specifications
  • Label, clean, and prepare containers for clean room processing
  • Operate forklifts to move finished goods and empty containers throughout the facility
  • Work in clean room environments while wearing Level B protective suits and respiratory equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and chemical handling protocols
  • Maintain accurate documentation and production records as required
  • Participate in safety meetings and support safe work practices throughout the facility
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical work throughout the shift
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to wear respirators and protective clean room gear
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift experience
  • Experience working in manufacturing, warehouse, clean room, or chemical handling environments
  • Experience following SOP-driven production processes
  • Strong safety mindset and awareness in industrial environments
