Manufacturing Process Technician

Piper Companies is looking for a Manufacturing Process Technician to join a biotechnology company located in Elkridge, MD.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Process Technician include:

• Participate in the manufacture of Leukocyte Interleukin, Injection (LI) following cGMPs
• Perform cell culture steps including upstream processing, harvest preparation, and harvest
• Perform purification processes including virus removal filtration, filter integrity testing, sanitization, and purification
• Prepare materials using autoclave, sonicator, and depyrogenation oven

Qualifications for the Manufacturing Process Technician include:

• High School Diploma with biotechnology certification and 2+ years relevant experience, OR AA Degree with 1+ year experience, OR BS/BA in a related field
• Hands-on GMP support services or cell culture manufacturing experience within a Pharma or GMP environment (1-3 years)
• Understanding of cGMP, FDA and EU guidelines, SOPs, and ability to work in an ISO classified environment with aseptic technique

Compensation for Manufacturing Process Technician includes:

• Rate Range: $21-31/hr
